Frozen Automated DC
Design, build, and operate 42,000m2 frozen FMCG fully automated distribution centre for Unilever. Best in class facility winnner of Ian McClaren Supply Chain Excellence award and Investors in People. Facility output 300+ pallets per hour and team members picked ~400 cases per hour. Team members worked witin a salaried annualised hours contract with 99% attendance.
Sainsbury (National DC) Stoke On Trent England
National Distribution Centre
Project, testing and commissioning, go-live, and operational leadership one of the UK's largest automated distribution centres. The Stoke facility was widely regarded as the best go-live and operation, of 5 start-ups, in the Sainsbury's transformation programme. DC had 42 picking cranes, 21 ASRS cranes, pick to light, and order consolidation buffer. The system held 20,000 SKUs and could output ~2million cases per week.
